Mental Health

- Mental diseases are those diseases that affect the brain. There are a lot of mental diseases, but the most common ones are:

ANXIETY DISORDERS
Anxiety is a normal reaction to stressful situations. Someone suffering from anxiety can have difficulties with relationships, work, family, studies... There are different kinds of this disorder:

-PANIC ATACS: Is the appearance of fear or terror, often associated with feelings of imminent death. The symptoms include the lack of air, chest pain and discomfort.  

-PHOBIC DISORDERS: Many people have fear to spiders, high places, etc, but they can tolerate them. People who suffer from phobic disorders can't. Some examples of this disorder are a social phobia, agoraphobia...

-POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDERS: These ones takes place when someone has been exposed to a traumatic situation. Its symptoms are nightmares, irritability, feeling of anger...

-OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER: The individual experiences intrusive thoughts, ideas or images.

MOOD DISORDERS 

-BIPOLAR DISORDERS: It affect how someone feels, thinks or act. Its characterised by many changes of feelings.

-DEPRESSIVE DISORDERS: People that suffers from these disorders can have depression during months or even years, making them having many daily problems.

EATING DISORDERS

-ANOREXIA NERVOSA: Is characterised by an obsesion to control the amount of food consumed. One of its symptoms is the distorsion of the body image.

-BULIMIA NERVOSA: Is characterised by eating a big amount of food and then throwing it up, or using laxatives or other things to loss weight.

PSYCHOTIC DISORDERS

-Are those ones in wich people loss the contact with reality. Their most common symptoms are delusionsans hallucinations. Some examples of these disorders are delusional disorder and schozophrenia.

PERSONALITY DISORDERS

-BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDERS: People who suffers these have a weak and changing personality, they usually doubt about everything. Some of its symptoms are intense anger and intense feelings of emptiness.

-ANTISOCIAL DISORDERS: People with these disorder tend not to relate with others. People suffering from these disorders usually have these symptoms; violence, lies, aggresiveness, loneliness...
